I don’t think we need yet another law to cover it, but David Davies is spot on, whereas Abu Omar just makes a fool of himself.

  1. David Davies (MP for Monmouth) who appears in this interview, is not the same as the David Davis (MP for Haltemprice and Howden) who is mentioned in the Telegraph link.

    Davis (H &H), who resigned the Tory whip, and fought and won a by-election as an independent, is opposed to the proposed 48 day rule. He is a vociferous campaigner for freedom of speech and would not, in our opinion, support such legislation, and rightly so.

    Whether you agree with what these idiots did in Luton or not, knowing they can say what they like is the price we pay for knowing that you or I can say what we like.

    Yes, it can be confusing when listening to the two similar sounding MPs names!

    I don't agree with the need for a new law, but more than that particular point, I was just so very impressed to hear an MP of any sort not talking bollocks about “communities” and “understanding”!
