Sharp council tax rises may be needed in the next few years to fund housing and education for immigrant families, says the Local Government Association.

The LGA, which represents local authorities in England and Wales, says rises of 6% on top of inflation-related increases may be needed in some places.

It says councils do not get enough cash to fund the services because official figures under estimate migrant levels.

Hmmm, that’s odd. I thought we’d spent the last few years being brainwashed into thinking that massive migration of non-tax payers into an overcrowded country with a crumbling infrastructure was somehow of benefit. Surely the government wouldn’t lie to us?!

Ministers are set to admit they may have significantly underestimated the number of failed asylum seekers living in Britain….a trawl of files in the Immigration and Nationality department has produced between 400,000 and 450,000 case files.

These are the case files that are known about - the actual figure may be over 2 million.
